Meet Duque, the fluffy, larger-than-life Great Pyrenees who started it all. 

As a big dog with an even bigger personality, Duque had everything—charm, fluff, and an endless supply of love. The only problem? Nothing fit him. From bandanas that barely tied to accessories made only for smaller breeds, it was nearly impossible to find stylish, high-quality gear that worked for gentle giants like him.

So, I took matters into my own hands—literally.

Determined to give Duque the style he deserved, I taught myself how to sew and created his very first bandana. What started as a personal project quickly became a passion, and I realized I wasn’t alone in this struggle. So many large dog owners faced the same issue—adorable accessories just weren’t made with them in mind.

And that’s how Barkington Co. was born.

I set out to create a brand that celebrates dogs of all sizes—from petite pups to gentle giants—with handmade, high-quality accessories designed for comfort, durability, and style. Because every dog deserves to look their best, no matter their size.
